OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
Stanserv Genuine Services (SGS) is a leading service provider in volumetric calibration, fuel management solutions, tank/tanker degassing, petroleum engineering and fluid mechanics. Our clientele base includes petroleum, aviation, beverage and mining industries. The organization also specializes in supplying, servicing and maintenance of petroleum and aviation equipment.
In pursuit of our vision and mission, the organization is committed to preventing ill health and injuries, provision of a safe and healthy work environment with a view to continual improvement. This goal is achievable through adherence to established Occupational Health and Safety objectives, striving to meet all our compliance obligations, and by fostering a culture that promotes commitment to Occupational Health and Safety within our employees and other interested parties.
In particular SGS is committed:
- To take all reasonable steps to eliminate, or otherwise reduce so far as practicable, workplace risks like occupational related diseases, fire, traffic related injuries, work at height injuries, and ill health that may arise as a result of the activities of the organisation.
- To ensure the health and safety of all employees under the supervision of HODs through applicable training, ensuring that workers use safe work practices and instructions, appropriate follow up on reported health and safety concerns, and implementation of recommended actions.
- To fulfilling all legal requirements, safety regulations, codes of practice and other requirements relevant to the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
- To consultation and participation of workers by recognizing the worker’s duty to identify hazards, and also supporting and encouraging workers to play an active role in identifying hazards, reporting hazards and to offer suggestions or ideas to improve the OHSMS.
- To continual improvement of the OHSMS to reflect any changes in the Organisational activities and/or legislative changes. Over and above the policy will be reviewed at least once annually even where no changes have occurred.
